Animal Control Searching for Biting Dog
The Laramie Police Department's Animal Control Unit is looking for the public's help in locating a dog and its owner after a biting incident that took place on Saturday. October 20.
The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. as a jogger ran in the neighborhood of 22nd and Rainbow. While running, he passed a 5'10" male with medium-length dark hair and some facial hair wearing pajama type clothes. The pajama-clad male was trying to catch a grey or tan bully type dog that may have been wearing a red or orange collar.
The dog took chase of the jogger as he passed, biting the jogger on the left calf and breaking skin before returning to its owner.
Animal Control would like to locate the dog for rabies monitoring purposes. Anyone that knows the dog or its owner is encouraged to call Animal Control at 307-721-5385 or the Non-Emergency Dispatch at 307-721-2526.
