Informational events are scheduled for African Awareness Week that runs through Saturday, Feb. 14, at the University of Wyoming.

The Wyoming African Student Association (WASA) sponsors “The Next Generation Africa” themed week of events.

Earlier in the week, a country display and a drumming workshop were held.

Remaining activities scheduled are a “Straight From the Source” discussion from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, in the Wyoming Union; a special coffee hour in the Skylight Lounge area in the lower level of the Wyoming Union from 4-6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13; and a cultural show Saturday, Feb. 14, from 4:30-7 p.m. in the UW COLLEGE OF EDUCATIONauditorium.

A “Taste of Africa” dinner is scheduled from 7-11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, in the Wyoming Union Ballroom. Formal dress is requested. Dinner tickets are needed for the dinner and are available through Thursday, Feb. 12, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Wyoming Union information desk.
