The Laramie Public Art Coalition will be hosting their 5th annual "5 in 5 Slideshow" event at O'Dwyers on Tuesday, April 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
During this event, members of the Laramie community are encouraged to put together a slide show composed of 5 pictures of public art from around the world and present them at the event as inspiration for similar pieces around Laramie. The presentations should last no longer than 5 minutes. All members of the Laramie community are welcome to present. Pictures must be submitted by Tuesday, March 27. Members looking to present should submit their pictures by emailing them to LPAC5x5@gmail.com or by posting them on social media using the hashtags #lpac5x5 and #laramiepublicart.
According to their website, the Laramie Public Art Coalition's (LPAC) mission is "to enhance the unique visual and cultural vibrancy of Laramie and Albany County, in a manner that encourages participation and engagement from all our citizens and visitors." As part of their mission, LPAC has developed a 5 year public art plan, which has already entered its third year.
