Two events are open to the public this weekend during the fourth biennial Western Cast Iron Art Conference at the University of Wyoming’s Visual Arts Building.
The Snowy Range Summer Theatre season celebrates its 61st year with the University of Wyoming production of the Off-Broadway musical hit, “Swingtime Canteen,” a family-friendly 1940s-style USO show that will run nightly June 19-21 and June 26-28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Washington Park band shell.
It has been a little while now since there have been any theatre and dance performances at UW due to the holidays, but their first show of the new spring season, "The Beaux Stratagem," kicks off on February 7th and plays through the 11th. Nightly performances will be held at the Fine Arts Main Stage and start at 7:30 PM. Tickets, which you can buy online or by contacting the box office, are $7 for students, $14 for the general public and $11 for seniors.
Another Orchestra will be performing at the University of Wyoming's Fine Arts Concert Hall this Friday evening at 7:30pm. The Colorado Chamber Orchestra will be performing works created by UW composers. The concert is free and will feature music for small chamber ensembles.

Coming up this Thursday night Danish maestro Peter Ettrup Larsen will conduct the University of Wyoming Symphony Orchestra in a performances of Nordic pieces. The performance will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the University of Wyoming's Fine Arts concert hall. Tickets cost $10 for the public, $6 for students and $7 for seniors.
The University of Wyoming's Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane dance company 2011-2012 Eminent Artist in Residence project will culminate with the dance performances of “Continuous Momentum: The Works of Bill T. Jones. Performances will take place on the UW Fine Arts Main Stage and will run from November 15-20th.
