Governor Mead to Speak at Laramie Jubilee Days on Wyoming Statehood Day

Wyoming Governor Matt Mead will be making an appearance at Wyoming's Hometown Celebration this year at Laramie Jubilee Days Wyoming Statehood Celebration. The event will take place at the Wyoming Territorial Prison on July 10th which is Wyoming Statehood Day.

With just a couple of days left until Christmas, we have pretty much expended major events going on around town pertaining to the holiday and of course there is not much going on this weekend. Laramie Jubilee Days Great Family Fun! What’s Next?

Although I did not go to all the Jubilee Days events, it has something for everyone. I used to go to the street dances, street concerts and have my share of adult beverages at the beer tent as well. However as the years have gone by and my kids have grown up we go to more of the family events. Sure I caught the last bed races in front of the Buckhorn Bar and cheered on drunk people, but I had my kids go on carnival rides as I wondered when the last time the safety inspector had checked them over was. I was not worried about those things when I was in college, I just had fun and they never crossed my mind.

Mr. T Bull Riding Calcutta – Bulls, Bidding and BBQ

The Mr. T Bull Riding Calcutta will be Saturday, July 2nd at the Albany County Fairgrounds Red Barn starting at 6:00pm. Winners of the Calcutta purse will be paid out Friday, July 8th at the Laramie Jubilee Days PRCA rodeo.  Calcutta includes a free BBQ, a cash bar, and is one of the most exciting  and fun aspects of rodeo!
