This summer along with some of the changes we reported on earlier, the Laramie Farmers Market downtown will also be adding some new vendors to their list of regular attendees. As normal a bulk of the products being sold at the market will again be very local; of the businesses signed up so far,16 are from Laramie area including Centennial, Fox Park, Cheyenne and Granite Canyon.

In 1968, a young man opened a restaurant in Cheyenne.The man was John Turner, a man who had been stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base during the Korean War. The restaurant he opened in ’68 was called Taco House. The franchise rights to that popular restaurant were sold and the franchise was soon renamed, Taco John’s, after the founder of the Taco House.
