The Laramie Weekend Movie Forecast is written by Robert Roten, creator of the Laramie Movie Scope website.

The weekend movie forecast calls for baseball weather.

It may not look like spring outside, but baseball season has started, and so have the baseball movies.

Starting this weekend is the new movie about breakthrough baseball player Jackie Robinson.  The film is named after Jackie's number, Forty-Two.  Early reviews on the film are positive.  It rates a "B."

Also opening today is the latest film in a series of comedy spoofs about horror movies, called Scary Movie 5. It looks like this one probably rates a "C."

One of last year's best films, West of Memphis, makes its debut in Laramie for a one-night-only showing on Sunday, April 14th at the Wyo Theater.  This documentary film tells the story of three people wrongly convicted of murder in 1994 and the long struggle to free them from prison.

Returning to Laramie this weekend is another one of last year's best films, a western directed by Quentin Tarantino, called Django Unchained (the "D" is silent.)

The best holdover from last week in local theaters is Jurassic Park which has been newly converted into 3D.

This has been your weekend movie forecast.
