The Weekend Movie Forecast calls for continuing clouds.

The one patch of clearing in the movie forecast is Silver Linings Playbook, the populare award-wining romantic comedy which returns to Laramie for another visit Friday night.  This film has won more than 40 international awards.  Jennifer Lawrence won both the best actress Oscar and the best actress Golden Globe awards for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook.  This film rates a "B-Plus."

Two new movies in town this weekend are heavily publicized, but have gotten a cool reception from critics.  The first is the big budget action film sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation starring Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis and Channing Tatum.

The second new film this weekend is the Science Fiction Adventure Romance The Host, starring Diane Kruger, Saoirse Ronan and William Hurt.  The film is based on a book by Stephanie Meyer, who also wrote the Twilight series.

According to early reviews, both of these films are rated a "C."

The best of the holdovers from last week is the action fantasy Oz: The Great and Powerful.  It rates a "B."
