A thunderstorm Tuesday afternoon in Laramie  brought with it a deluge of rain, as well as hail in some areas.

The rain caused large pools of water to form in the streets in several different parts of Laramie.

At 3 p.m. Tuesday, Laramie Police Department Lt. Gwen Smith said police had blocked off areas of north 3rd, 4th and 5th street. At that time Smith said the water was already starting to go down and it would take a little while for the water to recede as the city drain system started to do its work.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne issued a hazardous weather outlook through Monday for portions of Wyoming including east and south central Wyoming and southeast Wyoming, saying heavy rain and hail are possible with the thunderstorms.
