Hold Onto Your Sweet Tooth! Girl Scout Cookies Return to Wyoming

Girl Scout cookies don't last long in my house, no matter how much we stock up on the mouthwatering treats. We had a good run last year - two weeks of hanging onto those delicious treats...but those Tagalongs and Samoas were just too hard to resist.

Thankfully, the sweetest time of the year has returned! Girl Scout Cookie sales have kicked off in Laramie, Cheyenne, and the rest of Wyoming. Let's take a second to celebrate before I spill all the details.

Girl Scout Cookie Sales Are Open in Laramie and Cheyenne!

Daydreaming of Thin Mints and Do-si-dos? Me too. Good news - the Girl Scout troops of Laramie and Cheyenne are now accepting pre-orders until February 18! Though the days of Girl Scouts going door-to-door for orders have long since passed, you can locate a troop or find a booth with the handy Girl Scout Cookie Finder (find it here). You will start seeing booths popping up at shops and grocery stores from late March until mid-April.

How Much Will Cookies Cost This Year?

According to a flyer from the Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming, cookies have not seen a price increase for 2024. Here's what you'll spend on a box of your favorite flavor:

Why Do Some Cookies Have Two Names?

You've probably noticed that a few Girl Scout Cookies have changed names over the years. Back in my days as a Girl Scout, 'Caramel deLites' were always called 'Samoas' and 'Peanut Butter Patties' were 'Tagalongs.' The names vary because two bakeries produce the cookies - ABC Bakers and Little Brownie Bakers. Little Brownie Bakers, for example, calls the coconut-caramel-deliciousness cookie 'Samoas' while ABC calls them 'Caramel deLite.' According to Taste of Home, each bakery has slightly different spins on the cookies; for example, 'Tagalongs' from Little Brownie Bakers have more peanut butter than ABC Baker's 'Peanut Butter Patties'
