Laramie Municipal Band Starts Concerts at Washington Park

Announcing the 2011 season! June 22 starts the Summer concerts in the park with the Laramie Municipal Band. This is a great time to get a blanket and relax listening to great music in the park. See complete schedule below.

All concerts at 7:30 p.m. in the Washington Park Bandshell and the really cool thing is it's FREE!

Band History: The tradition of band music in Laramie dates back to some of the “earliest years of the history of the city,” according to a 1986 brief history of the Laramie Municipal Band by Edgar J. Lewis.
The first mention of band music in Laramie, according to Lewis’ history, is in 1870 in the Laramie Sentinel.
