Laramie Movie Forecast 9/13

The weekend movie weather is cold and rainy.  The good films have mostly left town and are being replaced by mediocre ones.

This year's biggest hit, Iron Man Three is back Friday night at the University of Wyoming and will be gone by Saturday.  A comedy, The Family opened this week, along with a horror film sequel Insidious Chapter 2, both are getting mediocre reviews.

The last of the summer action films, Riddick, starring Vin Diesel is still in Town.  It rates a C+, which isn't bad considering how disappointing the summer action films have been this year.

Also rating a C+ is the lone family film in town, Monsters University, a very popular animated comedy.

Remaining in Laramie for another week is the popular apocalyptic comedy This is the End which rates a C.

There could be some relief from this cold, wet movie weather in the near future with acclaimed films like Rush and Gravity.

There may also be a fall film series at the Wyo Theater with such films as Blue Jasmine and Before Midnight.
