It’s National IPA Day: Head to Downtown Laramie

The Unofficial Holiday today is National IPA Day. The best way to celebrate in Laramie is to head down to one of our local breweries. Bond’s Brewery on 411 S. 2nd opened four years ago, and Mallory and Jay Bond are ready to be…unofficially patriotic.

“We’ve got 2 different IPA’s on tap right now, our Citra-Hop-A-Dopolis and a new one, Australian Kiss Hazy IPA so you can bet we will be celebrating with a couple pints of those.”

Since it’s also “Grab Some Nuts” day, “What pairs better with beer than a salty snack? Grab your favorite nuts and bring them in for a happy hour IPA,” Bond said.

Beer, Fun, Community & Charity 

Bond’s hosts a variety of events throughout the week. Some are purely for entertainment, some are opportunities for community gatherings, and many are for charity.

“We have trivia every Tuesday night and we do Bingo every Thursday where a portion of the blackout round winnings goes to a local charity at the end of the quarter. On Thursdays, we do a run club during the nicer months. 

“Our annual car show, coming up on Saturday, is a fun event for everyone and it also helps raise money for charity. We also team up with a small charity to help host a 5k for suicide awareness every September,” Bond said.   

Next month they will be celebrating Oktoberfest. Each year’s festivities are complete with stein holding, keg rolling, and great German food. Football season is included in the brewery fun, with Bonds planning some home game parties this fall.

Mallory and Jay share their affinities of beer and the Gem City, and thankfully Laramie gets to benefit from their passions. 

“When we met and discovered we both had a love for craft beer, we decided to start homebrewing, and it was only a matter of time before we realized that this was our dream. We chose Laramie because we both went to college here and loved the small town feeling, it’s close to mountains to adventure in, and a great place to raise a family.”
