I Love Life 5K Race Kicks off Soon in Laramie – Run for Breast Cancer Awareness

The pink month is almost upon us – pink for breast cancer awareness! Laramie's own breast cancer awareness 5k race is returning for the third year on the first Saturday in October: October 1. The "I Love Life 5k" is sponsored by the breast cancer self-help group by the same name. The 5k course is certified by the ROAD
RUNNERS CLUB OF AMERICA and takes runners through the tree area in Laramie. Start and finish is at Undine Park in Laramie. There is a one mile walking option for those who are not quite up to running the 5k course (= a little over 3 miles). This year, Miss Wyoming Catherine Brown will welcome the runners and run the race. Registration opens at 8:00, the race starts at 9. Participation costs $20 (or $17 for members of the local running club, High Plains Harriers). Runners and walkers will receive a winter beanie hat of the event.
