The bulls may have gotten the best of most of the cowboys, but the crowd was the ultimate winner at the Mr. T Classic Xtreme Bull Riding on Wednesday night at the Albany County Fairgrounds. The bulls from Burns Rodeo Company bucked all but two professional bull riders and put on a heck of a show in the process.

Two people have been arrested after they tried to pass a counterfeit hundred-dollar-bill at a Laramie retailer.

Laramie has been holding a celebration of Wyoming's statehood since 1940, but for the 2012 edition of Laramie Jubilee Days, the party is getting a bit bigger. Laramie Jubilee Days has partnered with the Wyoming Territorial Prison State Historic Site to create a new event this year, the “Wyoming Statehood Celebration" on Tuesday July 10, 2012 at the Wyoming Territorial Prison from 11 AM to 2 PM.

Jillybean will have two shows on stages in Washington Park on Independence Day and there will be free balloon animals at the Emmaus booth.

A new event will grace Laramie Jubilee Days this summer. The 1st Annual Rotary Club of Laramie & City of Laramie Horseshoe Tournament will take place on Saturday, July 14th at Washington Park.

My favorite part of the 4th of July has always been the fireworks. While fire restrictions will keep pretty much everyone in southeast Wyoming from setting off their own, you'll still be able to enjoy a fireworks display in Laramie on Independence Day thanks to Fire in the Sky.
