Ask The City – Will Skyline Drive be Extended?

Will Skyline ever be clear through to the east by Harvest Christian Center from over by Bart's Flea Market?

The City's Answer:

The eastern and western dead-ends on Skyline Drive are expected to be connected someday, based on the Major Street Plan adopted by the City, County and State this year. (Incidentally, this entire stretch is outside the City limits, although the City and County have joint jurisdiction for future planning matters.)

For financial reasons, it isn’t likely that the road will be built until nearby private properties are developed. How quickly that occurs depends on the wishes and capabilities of the landowners involved. However, both City and County long-range plans show residential development in the vicinity. It’s expected that subdivisions in this area will eventually complete the connection – probably not for some years, although that could change if Laramie begins growing more rapidly.
