Ask The City – Why Is Smoking Allowed in the Eagles Club?

Why does the Eagles Club get to allow smoking in their establishment when all other clubs, bars and restaurants have to be smoke-free?

*Note that this question is from a citizen and the City's response here is in response to the question, but this does not mean that the club is necessarily in violation of any ordinance. There was no intent in any way to disparage the Eagles Club regarding their charitable work done in the community. 

The City's Response:

Per Laramie Municipal Code, smoking is not allowed in the Eagles Club. If you are aware that smoking is occurring in that, or any other local establishment, you should contact the LARC Dispatch Center at 721.2526 and report the violation. Officers will be dispatched to investigate the matter and take appropriate action.
