Ask The City – Is There Ever Going to be a Playground Installed in Scout Park?

Your Question:

Is there every going to be some playground equipment installed in Scout Park? With carrying the title of a 'park' it would be wonderful for kids in these neighborhoods to have a place to play.

The City's Response:

The Scout park development is currently budgeted for design in FY2015 and construction in FY2016. The improvements will include a playground near the center of the park with an adjoining park path/trail from 22nd Street through to 27th Street, a restroom facility and small picnic shelter. The improvements will be phased with the path/trail and playground in FY2015 and the restrooms and shelter in FY2017. The path/trail must be completed prior to the playground construction to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
