Ask The City – Can The City Help Clean Up West Laramie?

Your Question:

I'm curious as to why the city of Laramie does NOT enforce ordinances in West Laramie (particularly the Clark Street, Hodgeman, Rail road street side)? The nuisance ordinance with respect to junk cars in yards, trash, old boats, etc... That neighborhood is an eye sore and people should be cited for collecting junk cars and not cleaning up their yards!!

The City's Response:

Working in Community Development’s Code Administration Division, the Code Enforcement Inspector has responded to a number of violations in that area, and has also supervised several forced abatements.  Continued abatement throughout the community is ongoing.  Specific concerns can be communicated to the Code Enforcement Inspector at telephone number 307-721-5285.  Concerns, such as nuisance abatement issues, can be reported through the City’s website.
