Watch How Local P.E.O. Plant Sale Helps Female Students

The local AX Chapter of Philanthropic Education Organization will be holding a plant sale Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Eppson Center in Laramie.

P.E.O is an international organization with a primary focus is on helping with educational opportunities for female students across the globe. Their slogan is “Women helping women reach for the stars.”

Bernie Horst is with the Laramie AX Chapter of P.E.O. She stopped by the “Laramie Live on KOWB” radio morning show last Thursday to visit about an upcoming fundraiser they have that benefits local women attending a P.E.O. college in Missouri, as well as, other places female students wish to attend.

Horst spoke with host David Settle in the video above about the background of P.E.O., what the local AX Chapter does, the plant sale taking place on Saturday, and what attendees can expect. They also chatted about the growing climate in Laramie and some related topics.
