On February 14, around 9:29 pm, Laramie Police Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Snowy Range Road for a report of a stolen vehicle which just occurred.

As a result of the investigation, 30-year-old Johnnyray S. Talavera was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Felony Theft.

Wyoming Statute 6-2-401(c)(ii) states a person is guilty of robbery if, in the course of committing a crime, he uses or exhibits a deadly weapon or a simulated deadly weapon. Aggravated robbery is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not less than five years nor more than twenty-five years.

Wyoming Statute 6-2-502(a)(iii) states a person is guilty of aggravated assault if he threatens to use a drawn deadly weapon on another unless reasonably necessary in defense of his person, property, or abode or to prevent serious bodily injury to another. Aggravated Assault is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than ten years.

Wyoming Statute 6-3-402(a)(c)(i) states a person is guilty of theft if he knowingly takes, obtains, procures, retains, or exercises control over or makes an unauthorized transfer of an interest in the property of another person without authorization or by threat or by deception. Felony Theft is punishable by imprisonment for not more than ten years, a fine of not more than ten thousand dollars, or both.
