UW Working With Business Alliance, Safran On AI For Air Travelers

The University of Wyoming is working with Safran Passenger Innovations and the Laramie Chamber Business Alliance on using artificial intelligence to improve passenger air travel.

That's according to an article on the Unversity of Wyoming website.

Safran Official Comments On UW Research

The article quotes Matt Smith of Safran as saying “By partnering with the University of Wyoming and LCBA, we gain access to world-class research and a supportive business environment that will help us create a more connected and enjoyable travel experience for passengers worldwide.”

The article says Safran already has 13 software engineers in Laramie and expects to have 72 by the end of next year. That number could eventually reach 200.

The article says that among other things, the research could help reduce delays and give air passengers a smoother, more pleasant trip.
