Groundbreaking Held On New Life Church In Laramie

Groundbreaking was held on June 15 at a new Assemblies Of God church located on the north edge of Laramie.

The church will be the new home for Laramie New Life Church. While the building will be new, the New Life Church, which currently has over 100 members, has been active in Laramie for over 90 years. Pastors Matt and Melanie Baumgartner have led the church for the last eight years.

Facility Will Feature A Gym And An Athletic Field

According to a news release from the church, construction on the estimated $3.2 million facility should begin soon. When completed, the facility will feature a 12,000-square-foot sanctuary, a 12,000-foot all-purpose gym, and an athletic field. The church will be located at 32296 N. US Highway 30

According to the release: ''The church is known for its strong sense of community, hosting several outreach events annually. New Life distributed more than 250 backpacks filled with school supplies and over 300 pairs of new shoes at their Back-to-School Giveaway last fall and hosts 100-plus local youth each summer for its Mega Sports Camp.''
