The National Weather Service has upgraded the Laramie area to a Winter Storm Warning from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM WEDNESDAY TO NOON MDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches expected. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Southeast Wyoming.

* WHEN...From 6 AM Wednesday to noon MDT Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Roads will be slick. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. Areas to the east of Laramie, including Cheyenne, are under a Blizzard Warnings. Eastbound travel on I-80 could be severely affected.
