The Albany County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to remain clear of the Vedauwoo area as it continues to search for Sabrina Geller, a local woman whose car was found abandoned near the entrance on Sunday.

The ACSO says it's been made aware that several civilian search parties have been forming to help find Geller.

"We appreciate the public’s willingness to assist but at this time we are asking the public to please remain clear of the area (so) as to not interfere in the ongoing search operations," the department in a Facebook post on Tuesday morning said.

"There is no motorized traffic on forest service roads and with all our efforts focused on locating Sabrina, we do not want to risk our resources having to aid another civilian," the agency added.

The ACSO says it's been actively searching for Geller using side-by-sides, snowmobiles, drones, and deputies on foot patrol, and several community partners have also helped out.

Classic Air Medical and the Air Guard were also able to fly their helicopters over Vedauwoo, but Geller wasn't spotted.

"(We're) doing everything in (our) power to reunite Sabrina with her loved ones," the ACSO said. "Our hearts go out to her family, friends, and this community as we continue to search for Sabrina."

Anyone with information regarding Geller is asked to call the Emergency Operations Center at 307-721-1814.
