The University of Wyoming's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will be sponsoring a town hall titled "Black Fatigue and Being Committed Allies for Systemic Change.”

This event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10, at 1:30 pm.

The town hall is based on the book “Black Fatigue: How Racism Erodes the Mind, Body and Spirit” by Mary-Frances Winters. There will be free books available for participants.

The panelists for this town hall are:

  • Mohammed Bey, the diversity and inclusion director at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.
  • Nicholas Crane, a UW assistant professor in the School of Politics, Public Affairs and International Studies, and chair of the UW Black Lives Matter/Systemic Racism subcommittee.
  • Ty-Ron Douglas, an associate professor of educational leadership and policy analysis at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
  • DaNine Fleming, an associate professor and director of training and intercultural education at the Medical University of South Carolina.
  • Moderator Emily Monago, UW chief diversity officer in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  • Lay-nah Blue Morris-Howe, a UW assistant professor in the School of Counseling, Leadership, Advocacy, and Design.
  • Rachel Ratliff, a UW doctoral candidate in the School of Counseling, Leadership, Advocacy, and Design.
