The inevitable is happening.  As we lose our last grip on the summer of 2012 and begin to enter into Wyoming's characteristically brief autumn, the cold winter months for Laramie aren't far behind.

Laramie, being home to the University of Wyoming, finds itself playing host to a large population of people who maybe inexperienced to what winters in this town can hold.  Laramie Live spoke to Day Weather Meteorologist Mark Heuer to give out-of-towners an idea of just how cold it can get in the Laramie Valley.  Our hope is that we'll see fewer UW Freshman wandering around Prexie's Pasture sans winter coats in the next few weeks.

Now, just because it's cold doesn't mean the fun has to stop.  When we hit subzero temperatures our own Kari Eakins showed us a few outdoor activities to help waylay that cabin fever.  Just don't stray too far from your front door.
