THIS WEEKEND: University of Wyoming Family Weekend

This Friday, 9th, to Sunday, the 11th, the University of Wyoming will host a "Family Weekend" event for students to enjoy with their families.

What is Family Weekend?

Each year Family Weekend offers families an opportunity to share in the UW experience and spend time with their own special students. Parents, grandparents, siblings, and other family members of currently enrolled UW students are invited to visit the UW-Laramie campus for an event-packed, memory-making weekend!

Family Weekend is hosted by the Student Success and Graduation Hub. The hub aims to maximize student support and programming, personalized to their needs. All UW students have access to a support system that includes academic advising, therapeutic counseling, engagement, leadership development, mentoring, tutoring, developmental workshops and most of all – a sense of belonging.

The Student Success and Graduation Hub will also recognize the Parent of the Year awards, alongside some fun raffles and prizes.

Event Schedule

Friday, 9th

• 1:30-5 p.m. : Social & Check-In
• 3-7 p.m. : Laramie Farmer’s Market

Saturday, 10th

• 8-9 a.m. : Registration/Check-in
• 8:30-11 a.m. : Family Fun Run/Walk/Roll
• 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. : Tailgate
• 2 p.m. : University of Northern Colorado vs. Wyoming
• 2 p.m. : Vedauwoo Hike - Turtle Rock Trail

Sunday, 11th

• 9-11 a.m. : President's Brunch

All Weekend: Get Access to UW's fantastic recreation center, Half Acre Gym.

Registration

Cost to register: $100 per person, $35 per child under 11.

Family Weekend is a self-funded event so your registration fee includes, the Family Weekend Tailgate Lunch on Saturday, President Brunch on Saturday, and Half acre gym access all weekend.
