Mid-August in Laramie is apparently THE time to do things. And Bosler, because it’s still on the map, and it’s got a big weekend too, with Tom Horn Days. It’s also Lemonade Day, so be sure to support our young entrepreneurs all over town. There are llamas in the park, plenty of live music, and a homemade pie contest. Free shoes and school supplies on Sunday, too! 

Friday, Aug. 11

Tom Horn Days
The fourth annual cowboy rendezvous, in Bosler. Who knew? Local, genuine ranch rodeo hearkening back to the 1890s all weekend long with camping options, vendors, live music, and cowboy church on Sunday.

Farmers Market & Gem City Nights
The famous farmers market, with the added bonus of a drop-in art workshop and live music. This Friday’s music is SGRNY & The Crooked Rugs.

When: market and art drop-in 3-7 p.m. & music 6-9 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 12

Tom Horn Days
A full day of cowboy rendezvous, including team roping and kids roping, and pasture bronc riding on Saturday.

Lemonade Day
Laramie’s famous lemonade day, where young entrepreneurs design a business plan and see it through. Over 30 stands this year, all across town. Last year, 100% of participants donated some of their earnings to charity.

Food & Fun in the Park + Home Baked Pie Contest
Celebrate Feeding Laramie Valley at the 9th annual party in the park. Llamas and live music, plus bragging rights for best pie (Yes, llamas. That should be enough). Register your pie online or in the FLV building. 

When: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Where: LaBonte Park 5th & Canby

Driving for Dreams Car Show
Asay Customs presents the car show, where ALL proceeds support the ACSD1 backpack program. Silent auction, giveaways, cornhole, raffles, and authentic Mexican food. Register your car, truck, or motorcycle for a chance at 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prizes. 

When: 9:30 check-in; 10 a.m. start

Last day of the rendezvous, starting with cowboy church, then some roping and a history presentation before a final sendoff.
