Laramie senor Paulo Mellizo is the second winner of the WyoPreps Athlete of the Year Award for Boys’ Tennis.

The 2024 all-state tennis awards from the Wyoming High School Season were released by the Wyoming Coaches Association on Tuesday.

The Cheyenne Central girls and Laramie boys captured the team championships at the 2023 Wyoming High School Tennis state tournament in Gillette on Wednesday.

Without dropping a set last weekend at the state championship, Laramie junior Declan O’Connor became a state singles champion.

The Wyoming Coaches Association has honored 46 players from 12 schools with All-State honors in tennis for the 2021 season.

The state championships are in Gillette from Thursday, Sept. 23, through Saturday, Sept. 25.

Week two of Wyoming High School Tennis starts this week with a couple of matches on Monday.

The first complete week of high school tennis begins with action on Monday. Outside of a handful of teams, everyone will make their season debut this week.

Tennis matches at the prep level in 2021 are finally here. The seven-week season starts on Saturday.
