Last month the Laramie Police Department participated in their first ever Movember. Movember is a global movement to promote men's health and awareness especially for prostate cancer. LPD Sgt. Ryan Thompson formed the team which was named "We Found Your 'Stache." LPD's "We Found Your 'Stache" was able to raise $2,997.

Winners have been named for this years University of Wyoming's annual College of Engineering and Applied Science Senior Design Symposium. There were approximately 130 seniors representing architectural, civil, chemical, petroleum, electrical and computer engineering and computer science.

Local food and craft beer are the foundation Andy Glines will be building The Crowbar and Grill on. Renovations are well underway at 202 S. 2nd St. as Glines hopes to be serving patrons in downtown Laramie by the end of January.

The Albany County Theatre presents a family friendly holiday production filled with polka music, live radio comedy and good times for everyone Christmas Thieves: A Small Town Radio Play. Featuring Jay Shogren and the Flygapoijkerna Family Fun Time Orkestra, this evening of theatre is guaranteed to get you in the holiday spirit.

When you shop at Ace Hardware you can purchase raffle tickets to support the local soup kitchen and children in need. Drawings will be held December 10th and 17th.

As many proclaim, it might be the bussiest time of year, but it is also a time when everyone in the community seems to take a little extra time to thank those around them. The Museum at the Ivinson Mansion is no exception as they have a big holiday open house planned for this upcomming weekend, December 10th to 11th.

The new year is fast approaching and as for many personal fitness tends to be a common New Years resolution. Why not make that resolution a reality by participating in the 4th annual indoor triathlon at the Laramie Recreation Center!

Christmas is by far my favorite holiday and what better way to spend your holiday vacation by vegging out and watching not just one or two Christmas movies, but ten! I've compiled a list of ten of my top favorite modern Christmas movies that I'm sure most of you have seen, and hopefully it's a list that most of you enjoy as much as I do! Ever since I was a little kid Christmas has been the holiday I look forward to most! First off, you get time off to spend at home, food is more often than not flowing abundantly and you get presents! Now, we all know the history of Christmas and the meaning behind all of it so I'll spare my words but what I want to share with you is why I chose these ten movies.

The Holiday season is here and adding to the already full list of local holiday events is the University of Wyoming's annual Gala Holiday Concerts! The concerts will be held at the Fine Arts Concert Hall on Sunday, December 4th, at 2pm and 7:30pm.

The University of Wyoming Art Museum will be kicking off the holiday season with the 19th Annual Festival of Trees and Happy Holidays, Laramie starting Thursday, December 1st!
