Laramie Main Street

In the 2011, the Laramie Main Street Alliance, a non-profit that strives to preserve historic downtown Laramie while enhancing its economic and social vitality, documented the creation of 12 new businesses and 44 new jobs.

If you have not been downtown to check out one of their newest restaurants yet, Boomers BBQ, now is the perfect time to give it is a shot. If you are hesitant we did write a review of the restaurant back when it opened, so take a look. Laramie Main Street will hold their monthly Taste of the Town event at Boomers BBQ from 4 PM to 9 PM on the night of Monday, January 23rd.

Yep, your read the headline right! If you need a little help getting your gifts wrapped up to go home and put under the tree help is just a short drive away. You might remember that last year there was free gift wrapping downtown and the tradition continues this year in the offices of the Laramie Main Street Alliance.

It was a snowy night in Laramie as Santa Claus made his grand entrance into Laramie. Kris Kringle rode in a horse-drawn carriage in the Gem City Starlight Parade on Friday, December 2nd as downtown Laramie held a holiday celebration.

If you happen to have taken a trip to downtown Laramie lately to shop you have probably noticed all of the creatively decorated window displays that line downtown. This is one of those times of year where downtown seems to shine its brightest as everyone gets into the holiday spirit. For many years now, a window decorating competition has taken place in Downtown Laramie to encourage merchants to get their stores looking their best for the holiday season.

Today, in support of Hospice of Laramie, Luciano's will be giving 10% of its proceeds from meals sold any time from 11am to close.

Beginning this Saturday, December 3rd the public is invited to take a carriage ride through downtown Laramie! The general route encompass several blocks of downtown Laramie and will begin at the 1st street plaza. Carriage rides will be offered December 3rd, 10th and 17th.

Taste of The Town  is a unique fundraiser put on by the Laramie Main Street Alliance. The fundraiser is designed to highlight local restaurants in the downtown district that offer a variety of unique and delicious menu items. On November 9th from 11am to 4pm Taste of The Town will be held at Elmer Lovejoy's Bar and Grill!
