There was a recent study done on the best U.S. states for beer lovers, and Wyoming ranks 3rd - only Montana (1st) and Wisconsin (2nd) have us beat. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I'll take a moment to down some suds while I ponder the results

By early February 2013, an iconic stop on Grand Avenue in Laramie will have a different look and tenant. That's when The Library Sports Grille and Brewery will be leaving its present location.

Don't lie to your mom, tell her The Library is leaving. Lease negotiations between the owners of The Library Sports Grille & Brewery and the owner of the building at 1622 E. Grand Ave. began six months ago. The only agreement reached however, was to mutually part ways. A non-renewal notice was signed on October 31st, meaning The Library will be out of its current location on February 6th.

It's no secret that Laramie has two microbreweries that any town would be proud to have. The brewer at Altitude Chophouse and Brewery won three medals at the 2012 North American Beer Awards and while brews from the Library Sports Grille and Brewery routinely bring home awards from the Saratoga Steinley Cup. When you're choosing a Laramie brew, where do you prefer it come from?

Two Laramie breweries are heading to Saratoga for the official State of Wyoming Microbrew Competition on August 18th. The Library Sports Grille & Brewery and Altitude Chophouse & Brewery will be among the competitors for the Steinley Cup at the 17th annual competition.

LANDER BREWING COMPANY WINS STEINLEY CUP Jim Mitchell will have to find a place to display the hardware won at Saratoga’s 16th annual Steinley Cup Microbrew Festival and Competition.  The Lander Brewing Company walked away with the traveling trophy for their “Bighorn Ryebok” ale which was entered into the competition.  This is a big win, considering that the ownership and management is only a year
