At 7:00 tonight, there will be a public meeting at the Laramie Junior High School regarding the Squirrel Creek Fire.

Speaking at the meeting will be representatives from the Albany County Sheriff's Department, the Incident Command Team, the U.S. Forest Service and the Red Cross.

The latest news from the fire shows that it is covering about 6,700 acres and is only 6% contained. The fire has destroyed 4 structures, only one of which is a residence, however the residence is reported to be an unoccupied, non-primary cabin.

Approximately 300 people have been forced to evacuate, the evacuation center is the Albany County Fairground in Laramie. Additionally, there are nearly 200 people on hand, working to contain this fire which has now been burning for over 3 days.
