Laramie is still a pretty small town compared to a lot of places.

So in theory, driving here should be pretty easy. We don't face the kind of traffic that you see in Denver, or even in Cheyenne or Casper.

Driving Here Should Be Pretty Easy. Or is it?

Then again, we do have our challenges.

For one thing, a lot of the folks driving here aren't really from here. You have a lot of college students at the University of Wyoming. Presumably they learn their way around eventually. But it's only fair to expect a bit of a learning curve. And they tend to be young people without a lot of driving experience in most cases.

Then there are travelers from Interstate 80. They boost our economy, certainly. But they are often lost and maybe a little tired to boot.

Then there is game day or game night. Many people from around the state and even out of state are trying to get somewhere all at once. When the football or basketball teams in particular are playing, you see a surge of traffic that may be more than our streets are designed for. You also may have emotions running high, people who are lost. And let's be honest here, illegal and unsafe though it may be, more than a few have downed multiple adult beverages.

There is winter driving, of course. At 7,200 feet, our winter weather can be a real challenge, even for experienced motorists.

So.....maybe driving in Laramie isn't all THAT easy, at least not all of the time.

With all of these factors in mind, what grade would you give motorists in Laramie as a group? Take our poll and give us your opinion!
