New Laramie High School Officially Opens [VIDEO][PHOTOS]
State leaders joined hundreds of Laramie residents Thursday afternoon for the official opening of the new Laramie High School at 1710 Boulder Drive.
The building is substantially complete, with some work including landscaping yet to be finished.
State funding contributed roughly $80.3 million to the construction, while a local bond measure brought in $25 million from the Laramie community -- an effort that Senate President Phil Nicholas says sets the new building apart from other facilities in the state.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, Laramie residents and future students toured the new facilities and saw a time-lapse video of construction presented by Dr. Jubal Yennie, superintendent of Albany County School District No. 1.
