The 3rd annual Whale of a Children's Sale is coming up in May to benefit the Wyoming Children’s Society, Wyoming's oldest adoption agency, established in 1911. This big fundraiser for the organization actually takes place in Cheyenne with a big sale on on May 5th from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church. However a local Laramie resident, Robin Despain, will be collecting donations throughout Laramie and delivering them to Cheyenne in an effort to try and boost the number of donations they receive for the sale.

If you are interested in donating items to help the cause, things that are being collected include gently used and new items for ages birth through teen; clothes, toys, books, games, baby gear, etc… You can contact Robin for more information at 307-761-2466 to make your donation or send her an e-mail.Donations must be received by April 27th to make it to Cheyenne on time.

Here is a little more on the organization that your donation will assist. The Wyoming Children’s Society, a non-profit organization, works with families to facilitate adoptions locally and from other countries. The Society has provided permanent, loving families to over 5500 children since it was established in 1911. It has served thousands of women who have faced unintended, crisis pregnancies by providing information about options and choices. In some cases the organization also helps these women with groceries, rent, transportation, and various other necessities as well.
