Laramie’s Rules for Driving When the Stoplights Go Out
With a power outage affecting a large part of the Laramie community today, a few stoplights also fell victim to the outage, causing mass chaos among Laramie drivers.
Although the 2016 WYDOT Driver's Manual states that any intersection without signs or signals tells drivers to simply yield to the driver to their right, the City of Laramie has a slightly different approach.
According to the Laramie Police Department, Laramie drivers should treat unlit intersections like those with 4-way stop signs, with each driver yielding to the first driver to stop at the intersection.
