Laramie Woman Charged with DUI and Taking Controlled Substances

On April 19 at around 7:25 pm, Laramie Police Officers responded to the Safeway parking lot for the report of a subject who was causing a disturbance inside the store.

After the Officer’s investigation, a 30-year-old Laramie resident, Joy M. Watkins, was arrested and charged with Driving While Under the Influence, as well as Taking Controlled Substances into a Jail.

Bond has not been set on Miss Watkins’ felony charge and she remains incarcerated at the Albany County Detention Center.

At this time, these charges are merely accusations and the Defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
