Police have stepped up their presence around Laramie Middle School after multiple reports of a student bringing a weapon to school or threatening to harm students were made.

LMS Principal Kevin O'Dea in a Safety Update Thursday evening said, "Each one of these reports (has) been investigated (and) there is no credible threat to Laramie Middle School."

O'Dea says they have enhanced safety measures in place to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

"We take all reports of threats seriously and we are doing everything in our power to provide a safe learning environment at LMS," he said.

"We are working with the school and will have (an) increased presence in the area to keep your children safe," police in a Facebook post said Friday morning.
