About any place you live there are always going to be problems with drugs, alcohol and other ways for your kids to get themselves in trouble. Laramie is no exception and in fact it is most likely more so of a problem for youth living in a college town where opportunity awaits.

In recognition of this issue, the Laramie Police Department will be holding a "Savvy Parenting" class in conjunction with the Albany County Library this Thursday night, March 8th. The class will start at 6PM with a light dinner at the Albany County Public Library and is free to attend.

This is event is the first in a four part series of parenting classes collaborating with the Laramie Police Department. Crime Prevention Officer Christopher Cleven will be discussing the effects of alcohol on teens/young adults and how this may affect their brain development.  This presentation is intended to speak to parents and provide them with information related to teen alcohol use and will last no longer than an hour and a half.  The Albany County Public Library will be providing child care if necessary.  This class is open to the public and is highly relevant for anyone with children. For further information you can contact Officer Cleven at 307-721-3527.
