LARAMIE – An accident investigation resulted in the arrest of a Laramie man.

On March 10, at around 5:25 pm Laramie Police Officers were dispatched to 3rd and Harney for the report of an accident involving three vehicles.

Noah D. Norgauer, an 18-year-old Laramie resident, failed to stop behind a vehicle waiting to make a turn at the intersection. The impact pushed that vehicle into the vehicle in front of it, also waiting to make the turn.

Norgauer was not injured. Two people in the other vehicles did receive injuries, but their names will not be released until the case has been disposed.

As a result of the Officers’ investigations, Norgauer was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Controlled Substances causing Serious Injury, Taking a Controlled Substance into a Penal Institution, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, and Possession of Controlled Substances.

The two controlled substances found were marijuana in the form of THC wax, and pills.

Bond has not yet been set on the felony charges, and Norgauer remains incarcerated at the Albany County Detention Center.

DUI Controlled Substance/Serious injury is a felony punishable by a fine of not less than $2,000 or more than $5,000, imprisonment for not more than 10 years, or both.

Taking a Controlled Substance into a Penal Institution is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than three years, a fine of not more than $3,000, or both.

Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 10 years, fined not more than $10,000, or both.

Possession of a Controlled Substance is a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 12 months, a fine of not more than $1,000, or both.
