Four juveniles have been arrested in connection with several auto burglaries in the Laramie area.

According to an official release from the Laramie Police Department, officers responded to a report of people breaking into a car on the 1600 block of N. 22nd street, in Laramie, on December 10th just before 4:00 AM.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with four juveniles in the area, ranging in age from 13 to 17-years old.  Officers also observed that multiple vehicles had been entered and that the juveniles were in possession of stolen property.  The juveniles were arrested on charges of burglary from a vehicle.

The names of the suspects are not being released due to their age.

According to the release from Laramie P.D., burglary from motor vehicles is one of the most prolific crimes in the city, and are often considered crimes of opportunity.  The crime of burglary from a vehicle is a felony punishable by imprisonment for up to ten years, a fine of $10,000 or both.

Police credit the arrest to an alert citizen who placed the call after observing suspicious activity.  The police remind that if anyone notices a suspicious occurrence, they are asked to notify the police department immediately.
