Caught on Camera: Cheyenne Police Asking for Help Identifying Wire Thieves
The Cheyenne Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying two people who were caught on camera stealing wire from Black Hills Energy.
According to Public Information Officer Alex Farkas, the theft occurred around 12:20 a.m. on July 24 at the utility provider's property at 1301 W. 24th St.

Copper and Stranded Wire Stolen
Farkas says surveillance video, a clip of which was released Friday and can be seen below, shows the two gathering reels of copper wire and leaving out of camera view.
Farkas says spools of stranded wire were also reported missing.
"It appears they broke into a gated yard and took over $1,500 worth of items," she said.
