WGFD Helps Make Valentine’s Day Easy For The Kids
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department understands that kids are the future of Wyoming's hunting, fishing, and outdoor life. Therefore, it has programs to keep kids involved and interested in the outdoors.
Programs Like:
- The Master Angler Fishing Challenge - A program that recognizes the trophy fish caught by Wyoming kids. There are three levels: Master Angler, Trophy Angler, and Ultimate Angler.
- Conservation Stamp Art Contest - Allows school-aged kids K-12 to submit artwork featuring the American Pika. The artwork will be judged, and first, second, and third-place winners in four categories will be selected. K-2nd grade, 3rd - 5th grades, 6th - 8th grades, and 9th - 12th grades.
- Wyoming Wildlife Magazine - If your kids or you are interested in Wyoming Wildlife, this magazine is an excellent opportunity for you to keep up with the wild state of Wyoming.
Since Valentine's Day is coming, WGFD also offers a way for kids to give their Valentine a special card.
You'll need only a computer, printer, and pen to pass them on to your friends. Go to the WGFD website, download the pages, and print them. It's that simple.
The cards you print will feature this great list of animals on them:
- Moose
- Bighorn Sheep
- Mountain Goat
- Otter
- Bear
- Bison
- Owl
- Bat
- Toad
Wyoming's vast wildlife, mountain ranges, and beautiful scenery offer photographers of all ages plenty to photograph. If you're into photography, check out these fantastic pictures captured around the state.
Have a happy Valentine's Day and a great year in the Wyoming wild.
