Albany County School District One is again sponsoring the Summer Food Service Program for youth in the community for nine weeks this summer.

The release from ACSD No. 1 states, free meals are available to children in summer school or other kids who want to participate in the lunch.

The program is open to children ages 5-18 and runs from June 12 to August 11. Lunch will be served from 12 to 12:45 p.m. at Linford Elementary School, which is located at 120 S. Johnson in Laramie.

Transportation is also being made available from four other local elementary schools to Linford during the nine weeks the program runs. Two buses will pick-up children from Slade, Indian Paintbrush, Spring Creek and Beitel Elementary schools between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m. each day.

Children can also choose to participate in the Summer SOAR program at Linford from 1-to-5 p.m. Parents are required to pick-up children after the SOAR program each afternoon at 5 p.m. If a child chooses to participate in lunch, but not the SOAR program, parents still need to pick up their child at 12:45 p.m. There will be no return bus to the school a child travels from.
