Free Concerts Return to Laramie’s Washington Park This Summer!
Laramie's own little slice of paradise, Washington Park, welcomes the return of the Laramie Municipal Band starting in July. Music will once again fill the Edgar J. Lewis Bandshell starting with the Gem City's bombastic 4th of July Celebration - Freedom Has a Birthday!
The Laramie Municipal Band Summer Concert Series Returns to Washington Park
Did you know that the summer concert series has brought live music and fun to Washington Park since the 1950s? Band members are community members of Laramie filled with passion and skill for music. They, along with Dr. Robert Belser, Director of University of Wyoming bands, plan to put on quite the show for the community this year. The partnership between the University of Wyoming and the city focuses on bringing the arts and music to Laramie residents, free of charge!
What Music Can We Expect At This Year's Concerts?
The 2023 Laramie Municipal Band Concert Series will feature a variety of music spanning a wide array of categories. You'll find everything from show tunes and Western music to music from today played on stage. So grab your favorite blanket or lawn chair, pack some snacks, and get ready for some great music!
This year's lineup features 5 concerts, starting with the Freedom Has a Birthday performance - which kicks off at 10:00 a.m. All concerts after Freedom Has a Birthday take place on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. starting July 12 until August 2nd.
