Former Wyoming Player Found Not Guilty of Battery, Assault
LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — A former University of Wyoming basketball player has been acquitted of charges resulting from an altercation at a Laramie bar.
Ny Redding was found not guilty Tuesday of one count of simple battery and one count of simple assault following a daylong trial in Albany County Circuit Court in Laramie.
The Laramie Police Department cited Redding in December 2018 for disorderly conduct and inciting a fight during an altercation at Roxie’s on Grand.
The case against the former point guard was based on claims he struck University of Wyoming student Molly Pickerill and left her unconscious and that he pushed Jayce Kelley, one of Pickerill’s roommates.
Court records say Redding pleaded not guilty to the charges in February.
