The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning near Centennial in Albany County.

The agency posted the following on its website:

A Flood Warning is in effect along the Little Laramie River east of Centennial as flooding has been reported in low-lying areas near the river with high flows due to ongoing snowmelt in the mountains. High water is expected to persist through the weekend with warm temperatures continuing Friday and remain above average through the weekend. Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads.

A Wet Weekend May Not Help Matters

The forecast for this weekend indicates things may not be drying out right away:

''Here's your weekend forecast for southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle. Storms will be on the increase this afternoon, initially across areas west of the Laramie Range. Storms will spread east late this afternoon into the evening hours. Better chances for showers and storms Saturday across most areas. Some of these storms will be strong to severe. Much cooler Sunday as we see upslope easterly winds in the Panhandle to the east slopes of the Laramie Range. Low clouds and fog could be widespread Sunday morning, before breaking out in the afternoon. If planning outdoor activities, bring your rain gear!:'

Historic Wyoming Hotels

Wyoming's once wild west also incorporated a little luxury. Several fine hotels dotted the state, along trade routes and railroad lines. They have rich histories, and of course, ghost legends.
