Felony Arrest in Laramie for Possession of LSD
On January 22 at 12:15 am, Laramie Police Officers made a traffic stop for speeding in the area of 22nd Street and Grand Avenue.
As a result of the stop, 19-year-old Cheyenne resident Nathan Kallevig was arrested for felony Possession of Controlled Substance, LSD, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
According to Wyoming Statute 35-7-1031(c)(iii), it is unlawful for any person knowingly or intentionally to possess a controlled substance, LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide). Possession of LSD over three-tenths of a gram is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than five years, a fine of not more than ten thousand dollars, or both.
Further, Wyoming Statute 35-7-1031 (c)(i) states it is unlawful for any person knowingly or intentionally to possess a controlled substance, marijuana. Possession of marijuana under three ounces is a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than twelve months, a fine of not more than one thousand dollars, or both.
All of these charges are merely accusations and the subject is considered innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
